(May 20, 2022) - Toyota has been named the official car and truck of the Pacific Office Automation 147, the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Portland International Raceway (PIR) on June 3-4, 2022. With the support of the Pacific Northwest Toyota Dealers Association, Toyota has been added as another major partner for the big stock car racing weekend in the Rose City, showcasing the exciting return of a NASCAR national series to the Pacific Northwest for the first time in 22 years.

Noah Gragson holds off Earnhardt, wins in Talladega overtime; Dash 4 Cash to Allmendinger

Grabbing the lead on a restart in the third overtime, Noah Gragson — driving for Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports — won the Ag-Pro 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series at Talladega Superspeedway.

Gragson beat Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of seven-time NASCAR Cup champion Dale Earnhardt, who was driving a black No. 3 Chevrolet in a special appearance for Richard Childress Racing, which fielded Dale Sr.’s car during his heyday.

Brandon Jones muscles his way to Xfinity Series win at Martinsville

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – On older tires, Brandon Jones stole an Xfinity Series win from the scion of the owner of his race team on Saturday night at Martinsville Speedway.

Jones dived to the inside of Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Ty Gibbs as the Call 811 Before You Dig 250 presented by Call811.com went to a second overtime. Jones cleared Gibbs on the second circuit (Lap 261) and got to the finish line 0.677 seconds ahead of Landon Cassill, as Sam Mayer bumped Gibbs’s Toyota and squeezed it into the outside wall off the final corner.

Newgarden Keeps Penske Perfect With Long Beach Win

Josef Newgarden kept Team Penske unbeaten in three NTT INDYCAR SERIES races this season with his second consecutive win of 2022, capturing the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach in a taut, three-way tussle under brilliant Southern California sunshine Sunday.

Newgarden earned his first career Long Beach victory in the No. 2 Hitachi Team Penske Chevrolet, holding off Romain Grosjean in the No. 28 DHL Honda and reigning series champion Alex Palou in the No. 10 NTT DATA Chip Ganassi Racing Honda. Grosjean tied a career best by finishing second, with Palou rounding out the podium finishers in third.

The race ended under caution after Takuma Sato speared the tire barrier in Turn 8 on Lap 84 of the 85-lap race.
