INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025) – INDYCAR has announced a 17-race schedule for the 2026 INDY NXT by Firestone season, which includes a series’ record-tying four races in March and the addition of three doubleheader weekends as INDYCAR’s developmental series looks to even better prepare drivers and team personnel for the skills required to advance to NTT INDYCAR SERIES competition. LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports coverage of the 17-race 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season scored in a big way, averaging 1,362,000 viewers according to Nielsen Media Research, a +27% year-to-year increase from 2024 and the most-watched season in 17 years. In 2025, the NTT INDYCAR Series has recorded the most audience growth to date of any sport averaging at least a million viewers.
A dramatic overtime pass for the win punctuated a nearly perfect afternoon for JR Motorsports driver Connor Zilisch at Portland International Raceway, where the 19-year-old claimed his series-best eighth NASCAR Xfinity Series win of the season – the best series victory total ever for a rookie driver.

Musella Edges Champion Jeffers in Exciting USF2000 Finale
PORTLAND, Ore. – VRD Racing’s Teddy Musella claimed his second USF2000 Presented by Continental Tire victory in this evening’s season finale at Portland International Raceway. Musella, from Orlando, Fla., took the lead when Exclusive Autosport’s Jack Jeffers, from San Antonio, Texas, was obliged to give up the position per a call from Race Control.
